58F! Can this be February! I arrived on the veranda after a fast wet ride across town. Rain still falling after a night of thunderstorms. Standing water at the bottom, considerable water running on the climb up Auburn Ave to five points!

48F comfortable out when I arrived on the veranda at 6:15. The crankshaft on Blue Peril failed on the afternoon commute yesterday without warning. In the space of a couple of miles the sprocket side bearing simply disintegrated. Parts may be hard to find.

56F when I arrived on the veranda at 5:57. High Humidity made for a sweaty ride. Blue Peril continues to do the job. Her new shoes arrived Monday from Nashbar.com ($10 each) they are slightly larger at 27X1.25 inches, and softer at 90psi. The fancy tread pattern would have been popular in the 1950s! And they are heavy!!!
